Bio

Geoff Searle has been a professional potter and studio artist since 1972. Born in Kimberley B.C., he attended the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson B.C. He now owns and runs a large studio and Gallery in Langley, situated in the rural Fraser Valley, east of Vancouver.

Searle’s pit-fired burnished vases are very distinctive. A full range of colourful hues are produced from fuming metallic salts and organic materials. The delicate handcrafted lids incorporating carved bamboo pieces compliment each vase,reflecting an exotic Oriental theme.
