Heidi Mattson

Bio

 Heidi Mattson is a professional artist, designer, art teacher living in beautiful Pemberton, BC.

After receiving her BFA from Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design and her Teaching Certificate

from SFU she began her career as a high school art teacher along side her painting practise.

Once she started her family she decided to leap into the world of running her own business

and has been a professional artist ever since. Heidi is inspired by the landscapes in the

Sea to Sky region and enjoys painting with the seasons. Heidi brings a mixed media approach

to her work, building up layers of paint, charcoal and pastel on wood, and likes to play with a

push-and-pull between realism and abstraction.
